Michael grew up in a Christian home, the youngest of 3 boys (which means according to him, they saved the best for last). He heard the gospel countless times, before he had the “lightbulb” moment where he recognized his sin and a need for a Savior. Jesus was and is his Savior. He had a unique opportunity to go to Costa Rica on a GAP Year which changed his life. He was confronted with the God of the Bible, and challenged to seek out this God from the pages of Scripture. God changed him that year and in God’s humor, Michael stayed there a total of 4 years, where he discipled and served the church. In 2019 he began his pursuit of a Master’s Degree as he knew God was preparing him for full time ministry. He graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2022. In 2023 he came on staff as the Discipleship Pastor as he seeks to equip saints to know their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and live out their faith in their homes, workplaces, and wherever they are.
Michael lives to behold the beauty of Jesus. He is convinced that when we see Jesus, the gracious, holy, merciful Lord we will be radically changed. He wants to know the God of the Bible more and more each day, and he desires to walk alongside others so they can see and savor Jesus too.
